A new stage of rehabilitation of Lagham district in Mestia is starting 

The company "Architeks" won the tender for the rehabilitation of Lagham district announced by the Municipal Development Fund.

The company, within the framework of the contract, will carry out renovation works of several sectors of the historical district of Mestia.

The project, which is being implemented with a loan from the Asian Development Bank and co-financing by the government, involves the restoration of historical buildings, including towers and machus. The restoration, reconstruction and conservation of traditional architectural buildings are also included in the rehabilitation, which will preserve the authenticity of Lagham district.

In the process of rehabilitation, traditional materials will be used for the roofing of the buildings - kvari and slate, as well as strengthening and replacement of the roof supporting structure will be carried out as needed.

The goal of the project is to beautify the historical district of Mestia, preserve the cultural heritage and develop the tourist potential.
